On Monday 8 2024, participants are invited to commemorate the culmination of the Rainbow Games 2024 in style at one of New Zealand's most iconic sporting venues - Eden Park.
In partnership with Eden Park (Official Closing and Volunteer Function partner) players will be invited to step foot in the World Cup Lounge, overlooking the pitch that hosted the Pink, the FIFA Women's World Cup, the Women's Rugby World Cup and the location of All Blacks iconic 2011 World Cup win!
This is an exclusive player and volunteer affair. You do not need to purchase a ticket for this event as this is included in your player package - and your player accreditation (do not lose it!) will be your way in. Find out more below.
SCHEDULE
From 7pm:
- Doors open for participants at 7pm. Ensure you bring your player accreditation to enter!
- A cash bar and food is available at the bar.
- Get ready to groove as DJ Jordan Eskra works his magic on the turntables, spinning classic tracks to get the night started.
From 7.30pm:
- Speeches from Rainbow Games 2024 team
- Running events - medal presentations
- Watch - the Official Rainbow Games 2024 Highlight Reel
From 8.00pm:
- Get your glitter and heels ready as four iconic Drag Queens (Rita Menu, Miss Geena, Hugo Grrrl and Shavorn Aborealis) will send off the event in the most fabulous style imaginable!

THE CLOSING FUNCTION IS EXPECTED TO FINISH AT APPROXIMATELY 9pm.
