The Rainbow Games Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland 2024 is set to paint the city in vibrant colors and celebrate diversity and sport like never before. This brand-new multisport event for the LGBTQIA+ community and allies promises an unforgettable experience that blends sport, arts, culture and social connection.
FIVE DAYS OF EXCITEMENT
The Rainbow Games 2024 will commence with registrations and a spectacular Opening Ceremony on Thursday 4 April 2024.
From Friday 5 April to Monday 8 April, the sporting action will unfold at The Trusts Arena and various nearby venues. Throughout the event, attendees will have the chance to immerse themselves in a diverse program of arts, culture and social activities.
The inaugural Rainbow Games will showcase 12 sports catering to all interests and abilities. From Roller Derby to Touch Rugby, Running, Tennis (GLTA-sanctioned tournament) and much more.

The team at Rainbow Games 2024 are thrilled to create a safe and inclusive space for the rainbow community and allies to participate in sports. The event has been made possible through collaboration with numerous national governing bodies, regional sporting trusts and rainbow sports clubs.
To ensure the success of this groundbreaking event, the Rainbow Games 2024 team is calling on the community to lend their support and participation. The team have organized a webinar to provide in depth details about the event, including insights into the sports, arts, culture programs and social activities.
Player registration packages, support from funding and commercial partners and the exciting journey of LGBTQI+ sports will also be covered.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday 19 September 2023 with two sessions (12.30pm NZT and 7.00pm NZT) to accommodate different time zones across Oceania. Even if unable to attend live, interested parties are encouraged to sign up on the links below to receive a recorded version afterwards:
