Getting thereRunning at the Rainbow Games/Waterfront Half Marathon offers the following categories and divisions:
Ensure you are familiar with the postponement and cancellation terms and conditions of the Waterfront Half Marathon - outlined in the RG24/WHM Terms and Conditions.
Participants will need to make their own way to the Half Marathon on the morning of the race. Most participants find parking in the streets around Mission Bay, and nearby suburbs. This can be challenging on race day so leave plenty of time and be prepared for a 10-15 minute jog/walk to the venue (the ideal warm up!). Auckland Transport parking enforcement officers will be on duty so don't ruin a great day by parking illegally. The safe and successful operation of the Waterfront Half Marathon requires some road and lane closures in the area. It is each runners responsibility to make their own way to and from the race village, so please ensure you are familiar with road closures and plan your journey ahead of time. Find out more here.
You will be asked for your last name (as per your YouLi registration form) by race officials in order to retrieve your pack. So ensure you allow enough time to do so before your race begins. View the racecourse map, start and finish points here. All participants will receive a WHM medal upon completion of the event too.
Upon registering to participate, you have agreed to adhere to the Rainbow Games' code of conduct. Click here to view refresh your memory.
As we start preparing for your fabulous player accreditation, we're excited to see your names come to life on them! To ensure everyone feels respected and valued, we will be using preferred names alongside surnames. To make sure we can be accurate and respect your identity, please make sure your preferred name is up to date on your YouLi registration form before Monday 11 March 2024.
Your player accreditation will be your ticket into the Opening Ceremony, Closing Function and will remain a garment to wear with pride as we unite at this multisport event.
If you do not hold a New Zealand or Australian Passport you will need to request an NZeTA and pay for an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL).
