Built in a basement, G.A.Y was the premier gay and lesbian space for a number of years when it started on High Street in 1999. With a mild 20-year break, G.A.Y made a comeback in the in 2019 with a new focus.

Now located on the infamous Karangahape Road catering for the entire LGBTQI+ whanau, G.A.Y aims to cultivate some of the hottest new DJ's, diverse and Fierce drag performances, immaculately hosted by some of Tāmaki Makaurau most iconic artists.
